Terms of Use

These conditions govern access to St. Martin Parish Criminal History. Viewing content, opening a page, or submitting a search signifies acceptance. Anyone who does not agree must stop using the site.

NO FCRA USE. This privately operated website is not affiliated with any government body. It and its advertising partners do not provide services for credit, employment, insurance, tenant, or other FCRA-regulated decisions. St. Martin Parish and Louisiana record-access references are provided for general research. This is neither a private-investigation firm nor a consumer reporting agency.

1. What This Website Is

This is a private reference site with no government affiliation. It neither stores official criminal records nor retrieves records, performs official checks, or files documents.

Its role is to identify St. Martin Parish custodians, including SMPSO, the clerk and 16th JDC, BCII-LCJIS, and the Louisiana State Sex Offender and Child Predator Registry, while also linking to optional outside research tools.

2. Rules for Using This Site

You agree that you will not:

  • Break any federal, state, or local law while using this site
  • Use information you find here to stalk, harass, or threaten anyone
  • Base hiring, housing, lending, or insurance decisions on content from this site
  • Try to break into our systems or gain access you are not supposed to have
  • Run bots, scrapers, or automated tools against our pages
  • Do anything that slows the site down or blocks other people from using it

3. No Harassment, Stalking, or Discrimination

Information from this site or a linked service may not be used to harass, stalk, intimidate, threaten, or discriminate. Louisiana registry data exists for public safety and community notice. Misuse of Louisiana State Sex Offender and Child Predator Registry information may violate law; vigilantism and retaliation are prohibited.

4. We Are Not a Consumer Reporting Agency

We are not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA. We do not generate background checks, credit reports, or consumer reports of any kind. Neither we nor our advertising partners provide services built for screening job applicants, reviewing rental applications, calculating insurance rates, or judging creditworthiness. You agree not to use data from this site or any linked tool to:

  • Decide whether to hire or fire someone
  • Screen potential renters or housing applicants
  • Judge creditworthiness or set insurance premiums
  • Determine who qualifies for licenses, permits, or government programs
  • Do anything else that falls under FCRA rules

Any legally regulated background check must come from an authorized BCII-LCJIS process or an FCRA-compliant provider.

5. No Legal Advice

The content is not legal advice. General information about St. Martin Parish records cannot determine how a charge, conviction, warrant, or expungement rule applies to one person. Consult a licensed Louisiana attorney.

6. No Warranties

Everything on this site is provided "as is." We do not guarantee that:

  • The information here is accurate, complete, or current at any given time
  • The site will stay up and running without interruptions
  • Our pages are free of errors, bugs, or security holes
  • Results from our partner search tools will be thorough or accurate

Criminal records change all the time - charges are filed, dismissed, sealed, and expunged. We try to keep up, but gaps are unavoidable. Nothing on this site should be treated as an official statement from a court, sheriff, or government agency.

7. Third-Party Services and Links

We link to sheriff's office sites, court portals, state agency pages, legal aid organizations, and outside search services across this site. Clicking one of those links moves you off our platform and onto one we have no control over. We are not responsible for their content, how they handle data, what they charge, or whether their site stays online. Check their terms before using them.

8. Intellectual Property

Text, graphics, logos, and code belong to St. Martin Parish Criminal History or its content partners. Copying, distribution, modification, or derivative use requires prior written permission.

9. Limits on Our Liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for damages that come from using this site - including decisions made based on information found here or through any linked service.

10. Indemnification

You agree to hold us harmless from any claim, legal action, or demand that stems from how you used this site or from breaking these terms. That includes covering our legal fees and related costs.

11. Governing Law

Louisiana law governs these terms, including applicable Louisiana consumer and public-record principles. The Louisiana Public Records Law, La. R.S. 44:1 et seq., applies to government custodians and does not make this private site one. Any dispute tied to site use must be filed in a court located in Louisiana.

12. Changes to These Terms

These terms may be revised, with the posted version controlling once published. Effective date: July 26, 2026.

13. Cutting Off Access

We can limit or block your access to this site at any time, for any reason, with no warning.

14. Severability

If a court rules that any part of these terms is invalid or unenforceable, the rest stand. The problem section gets adjusted only as much as needed to make it work.
