A name or place entered in a search tool is sent directly to the outside provider that operates it. That provider processes the query and supplies results; search terms are not stored or logged by us.
Messages and Contact Submissions
An email may be retained long enough to answer and manage the correspondence. It remains within our organization unless disclosure is legally required.
Data We Gather Automatically
Our servers automatically receive basic technical details when a page loads:
- The IP address assigned to your device

- The pages you visited and how long you stayed on each

No Criminal-Record Data on File
St. Martin Parish Criminal History does not keep, compile, or sell a database of personal criminal records. It explains access through SMPSO, the St. Martin Parish Clerk and 16th JDC, BCII-LCJIS, and the Louisiana State Sex Offender and Child Predator Registry. Visitor information is not assembled into third-party records or consumer reports, and this site is not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies operate the search boxes. Their privacy terms govern submitted data, including retention and disclosure. Review the relevant provider policy before using its tool because those practices are beyond our control.
Links to Other Websites
Throughout the site we link to sheriff's office pages, court portals, state agency sites, legal aid groups, and third-party search tools. Clicking any of those links takes you off our site. At that point, their privacy policy governs your visit. Read it before sharing any personal details.
Certain advertising partners may track your activity across sites to show targeted ads. That tracking runs on their systems, not ours.
Who Might See Your Data
We do not sell personal data. Some information may end up with:
- Search partners that handle queries you run on our site

How We Protect Your Data
Reasonable, standard safeguards are used for collected data. No internet system is fully secure, however, so uninterrupted security or prevention of every breach cannot be guaranteed.

The service is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. Information identified as belonging to a minor will be deleted when brought to our attention.

Applicable Louisiana law may provide additional rights. The Louisiana Public Records Law, La. R.S. 44:1 et seq., governs government records and does not turn this private site into a parish custodian. Subject to law and verification, you may:
- Ask for a copy of what we have on file about you
- Have us fix information that is wrong
- Request that we erase your data
- Opt out of certain kinds of data processing
